The Unseen Tattoo

My daughter shows me her tattoo,
And suggests I get one.
Her aunts and cousins have them.
But I am not tempted.
I tell her that I have one
She cannot see.
She is tattooed in my heart
And she will be
As long as it beats.
I hold her hand against my chest
So she can feel the contented
Tattoo, tattoo, tattoo.
