The Ashes of a Man’s Gesture

Window shopping
in the basement of nowhere,
I found a dress
made of dust.
So heavy.
It fit my mood
And I eagerly spent
my life.
To wear it.
Just once.

But you disapprove.
You claim
it makes you sneeze.
And you brush it away.

Now I am wasted.
And naked.
And back
at the beginning
of this page.
Please help me.
It is too cold here.
Beneath your thumb.
