Sea

The train’s too slow,
A child’s face, plastered to the window.
Every cell of her being spells waiting:
When will she see it?
She sees it without knowing it,
She thinks it’s part of the sky –
Just another shade of blue.

Alexandra Palmer says, “Writing is a huge part of the “new me.” I think I’ve finally figured out what I want to be when I grow up! I was born and raised in Moscow, Russia and lived in Prague, Czech Republic, for eight years before relocating to the US in 2008. My husband and I have the world’s greatest kids – a girl and a boy. I work as a wife, mother, dog trainer, freelance translator, proofreader, tutor…all the time nurturing my dreams of becoming a writer.” Visit her site at The Happy Amateur.
