I: A Chopstick

Alone, you mix
my coffee with cream.
Next day aerate the soil
of potted ivy leaves.
But, where is your twin?

II: Unlicked Postage Stamps

Waiting to travel abroad
on sheaths of letters,
you itch to see the world.
At night, you debate destinations,
await a sympathetic tongue.

III: Rusty Grapefruit Spoon

Your serrated teeth
await the flesh of fruit.
Three hundred and sixty-four days
of yearning for a warm palm,
a single day of juicy satisfaction.
